My Story

Self-Portrait.jpg

My name is Chad and I'm an artist living in Huntsville Alabama, but I was originally from Atlanta Georgia, where I attended the Atlanta College of Art & Design. We moved our small family to Huntsville and have since raised four boys.  I draw my inspiration from my life, family, and faith, lending my talents to create custom masterpieces on a multitude of surfaces for my clients.

My passion for art began before I knew what art was. In my earliest and most vivid memories, I recall colors and objects that intrigued my imagination. By the time I could hold crayons, I wanted to color and draw constantly. I remember having some unnamed desire to create, although I did not know what or how. I now realize that it was the passion that drives the artist working within me even at an early age.

I believe we are endowed by our creator to design in response to his creation. Now, at 40 years old, when I am able to push aside the cares and worries of this life, I can still strongly tap into that early, simple passion for color and creation. My primal desire is to capture the power that pigment applied with brush can create when soul and emotions are poured out onto the canvas. The possibilities are endless and the vision becomes frozen in time. The emotional response of human souls to Art has always intrigued me. It is as inspiring as creation itself at times.

My work encompasses a wide variety of themes from portrait to landscape. They are figurative and expressive in nature. Some of my biggest influences are Edward Hopper, Wayne Thiebaud, and Sergeant, among many others. My desire is to express emotion through thought provoking images and light as well as to inspire emotion in others.
